About Us
The Ottawa Carleton Soccer League (OCSL) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development and enjoyment of soccer in the National Capital Region. Founded in 1978, 2009 marks the 31th season of the OCSL. The League is comprised of about 400 adult teams from 57 soccer clubs, competing in 35 different categories based on age and level of play.
The OCSL is proud to have amongst its alumni, members of our men's and women's national teams as well as students who have earned athletic scholarships to play while pursuing post-secondary education. More importantly, since its inception, the League has provided a safe and healthy activity for tens of thousands of people in the region, aiding in the development of team skills and contributing to a healthy lifestyle.
The League is managed by a ten-member volunteer board (League Management Board - LMB), whose responsibility it is to develop and support the game within its jurisdiction, and to ensure fairness, accountability and efficiency to its member clubs. The League maintains a policy of zero tolerance of discrimination, harassment and violence in any and all forms in the conduct of its operations.
The OCSL's LMB is responsible for addressing issues that are of concern to the membership and to guarantee that League activities are conducted in a manner consistent with the democratically-established Constitution and By-laws. The League and its Management Board are also guided by the rules and regulations of the Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association, the Ontario Soccer Association and the Canadian Soccer Association.
